"Semi final" refers to the last stage of a cicada’s life. Semi being the Japanese name for cicada. Often found on their backs with a few more hops and cries left in them. A final climatic and loud event right before death.

Solemn cries of cicadas remind us that soon summer will end. And so will their lives. A playful reminder of death.
