The kanji 大 (dai, english translates to big or large) is burned on the mountainside. This ritual takes place on the fourth and last day of Obon, a guided farewell to ancestral spirits who were welcomed on the first day. This was our last and final animation. A final sendoff of our work and research in Nara.
